Choose when to process meetings, keep your audio in sync

A new stable Mac release, processing plans in beta, aligned audio tracks and crash reports you control. The internal iPhone build also handles longer transcripts in parts.

Shipped · Mac stable 1.0.8.23

  • The stable release includes the fix for a first-launch freeze on fresh installations and keeps Settings and Dictation tabs in the middle of their toolbar, with the page's buttons to the right.

Shipped in Mac beta · through 1.0.8.32

  • Choose Economy, Balanced or Maximum during setup or in General settings. Before replacing custom settings, Daisy lists the changes and asks you to confirm. An option defers meeting processing until the Mac is connected to power.
  • Local summary providers remain available. For people who choose a cloud provider, streamed responses improve long-meeting handling, and a failed summary now shows its reason and a retry action. Gemini joins the provider list, and Kimi request compatibility is fixed.
  • New recordings align microphone and system audio from the same clock and keep them aligned across pauses. Export audio offers one mixed file or two separate tracks. Earlier recordings are not rewritten. Pasting Russian transcripts and summaries into TextEdit, Word and Pages preserves Cyrillic correctly.
  • Claude and Codex can connect to Daisy's local MCP server without Node.js; Claude Code has a one-click connection. Local MCP does not make the connected AI service local: the client you choose still controls how it processes retrieved meeting content.
  • After an unexpected exit, Daisy shows the full crash report before asking whether to send it. It contains diagnostic details, not your meeting content. You can decline or turn off future prompts. The widget also has clearer colours for meetings, dictation, voice notes and errors; beta installations keep receiving beta updates unless you have chosen otherwise.

In testing · iPhone and Apple Watch

  • The internal iPhone build splits transcripts that exceed a summary model's context into parts, then combines their summaries. Library scanning reuses unchanged folders instead of reading them again. These are internal changes, not an App Store release or a promise of unlimited recording length.
  • Apple Watch still records with its own microphone and sends the audio to iPhone for processing; no new public Watch release is announced this week. iPhone capture is for in-person conversations and voice notes, not system audio or phone calls.

  • Verify the latest import safeguards and recovery of pending iPhone processing before a new beta, then continue physical-device checks for interruptions and Watch transfers. Krisp call compatibility still needs a real-call test; diagnostic improvements are not proof of compatibility.
