A Krisp alternative that keeps your meetings on your Mac
Daisy is an open-source, local-first meeting recorder for macOS. It records both sides of a call on your Mac, transcribes on-device in any language Whisper supports and stores everything as local Markdown. If you choose an external AI summary, the transcript goes directly to that provider rather than through a Daisy service.

Where Krisp is ahead — and who shouldn't switch
Krisp's core is real-time noise cancellation and accent conversion: it changes what the other side of the call hears, which Daisy doesn't do at all. It also runs on Windows, iOS and Android, has SOC 2 Type II (HIPAA on its Enterprise plan), team workspaces and CRM sync with HubSpot and Salesforce. If you need cleaner audio in the call itself, a team rollout or a sales workflow, Krisp is the more complete fit. Daisy is the trade when you'd rather keep recordings and transcripts local in any language, on a Mac, with open source you can check; it is free for now, and pricing has not yet been announced.
